Thank you for finding my little corner, here on the interwebs. Thank you for taking a minute to get to know me and my story. I hope that what you find here inspires you to embrace your creative side and to share what you learn with others.
Welcome to the Cascade Farmhouse, my little slice of heaven! My name is Kimberly. I live about 30 minutes South of Seattle, near the Cascade Mountains. I live in the house that I grew up in. It was purchased from my mother in 2003 so she could go
be selfish and abandon us enjoy time traveling across the country in her RV with her husband. All of my kids have been raised here, I have three sons and a daughter.
I am a garage sale junkie. I have always enjoyed creating new things and re-purposing things I find when I am out junking. I am an
obsessive/compulsive great organizer, which is a good thing because of the junkie junker thing I mentioned a second ago. I am also a seamstress; a skill passed to me by my mother, and a carpenter; a skill passed to me by my father. I think I was destined to be creative. I am a “remodelaholic” (yes, that’s a word, it has to be, I just used it in a sentence didn’t I?). I cannot leave well enough alone. I’ve been doing “stuff” to my little 1600 sf ranch house for the last 15 years and there’s no end in sight.
I am lucky to have such an extraordinarily blessed life! My home is small but well lived in. My heart is full from the love of a great big family. My hope is that you find inspiration and a little humor in every post to help you create the life you have always dreamed about.
Thanks for stopping by the Cascade Farmhouse. I can’t wait to get to know you better!
